🌿 National Indigenous Day – June 19, 2025 🌿

We invite all LPFN members to join us for National Indigenous Day on Wednesday, June 19, 2025, a celebration of identity, culture, and community.

📍 Events will take place throughout the day at:
• Amo Ososwan School
• Community Hall
• Elder’s Centre
• Lake area

🕘 Full Day Schedule Highlights:

  • 9:00 AM: Opening Ceremony – Justin Polson

  • 9:30 AM–3:30 PM: Inflatables (outside Amo gym)

  • 9:30 AM–12:00 PM: Cultural Performances & Teachings with Dave Hookimaw, Steve Wawatie, Hope Oswamick, Sonny Papatiew & Sky Polson

  • 12:00 PM: Lunch at the Community Hall

  • 1:00 PM: Games for Adults & Kids

    • At the Lake: Canoe Racing, Bow & Arrow, Clay Shooting, King of the Dock (with Merl Mathias)

    • At the Hall: Sumo Wrestling, Minute to Win It, Pass the Tea, Tug o’ War (with Samantha & Danis)

  • 4:00 PM: Community Feast at the Hall

  • 6:00 PM: Bingo with Sabrina (limited dabbers provided)

  • 10:00 PM: Fireworks by the Lake

👵 Elders Program at the Elder’s Centre (Jerry & Nancy):
• 9:00 AM: Breakfast
• 10:00 AM: Games
• 12:00 PM: Lunch (Stew & Sandwiches)
• 1:00 PM: Socializing
• 3:00 PM: Bingo (followed by more socializing)

📌 Note: All scheduled times are subject to change. Please arrive early to ensure participation in events.
