The LPFN Health and Wellness Center would like to inform community members that head lice cases are becoming more frequent, especially among children. While head lice are not a sign of poor hygiene and do not spread disease, they can be persistent and uncomfortable.
We encourage all families to review this helpful information prepared by Shania Polson-Mathias, Community Health Representative. It includes:
What lice are and how they spread
Common signs and symptoms
Prevention tips and home cleaning methods
Treatment instructions
Please read and share this guide to help reduce cases in our community.
🧼🧢 Avoid sharing hats, brushes, and scarves.
🧺 Wash bedding and clothing in hot water.
