Long Point First Nation’s Sustainable Development Department has released a memo to inform all community members that Naneweak Mikana Extension is currently an active construction zone.
For everyone’s safety, community members are asked to avoid entering the construction zone and to be cautious when travelling near Naneweak Mikana Extension. There are currently open holes, active machinery, and equipment moving through the construction zone on a regular basis.
In order to prevent unauthorized access, a fence and gate will be installed on August 19th, 2026.
