On the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Long Point First Nation is calling for concrete action to address the absence of a permanent police presence in Winneway.
The First Nation has served a formal notice on the Sûreté du Québec, Quebec’s Ministry of Internal Security, and Public Safety Canada, demanding an adequate police presence and the restoration of its Anicinabe police service.
