Long Point First Nation invites all community members to join us for Cultural Week 2025, taking place from October 6 to 10, 2025. This special week will celebrate our traditional knowledge, language, teachings, and way of life through a rich schedule of workshops, ceremonies, performances, and community gatherings.
🔸 Schedule Highlights:
Sunrise Ceremonies & Traditional Feasts
Teachings on Sweats, Rites of Passage & Clan Systems
Beading, Caribou Hair Tufting, Painting, Language Tent
Pipe Ceremony, Paddle Making, and more
Evening Entertainment & Movie Nights
Daily Guest Facilitators from Strong Earth Associates, First Line Services, and community members
🛑 Cultural Week Regulations:
No ATVs, Dirt Bikes, Alcohol, Drugs, Dogs or Cats
Respect quiet time at campsites after 10 PM
Please bring your own mugs/cups
Be mindful of allergy warnings: fish, nuts, oranges
Please keep the gravel pit area free for sacred ceremonies
Clean your campsites before departure
🚐 Transportation Details:
Departure: 8:15 AM from Amo School
Return: 4:30 PM from Culture Site
Elders needing transportation: Please contact Rosalie
