The Long Point First Nation Youth Election Committee will be holding a Nomination Meeting as part of the 2026 Youth Council election process.
All eligible LPFN youth members are encouraged to attend and participate in nominating candidates for the following positions:
Youth Chief
Youth Vice-Chief
Youth Councillor (3 positions)
Meeting Details:

🕐 Time: 1:30 PM
📍 Location: Community Hall
1:30 PM – Opening of Nomination Meeting
• Opening Prayer
• Words of Welcome by the Electoral President
1:40 PM – Review of the Nomination Process
• Presented by the Director of Communications
• Explanation of nomination requirements, rules, and acceptance procedures
2:00 PM – Combined Nomination Period (Youth Chief & Youth Vice-Chief)
• Floor opens for nominations
• Each nomination must be seconded
• Nominees must accept the nomination
Nomination period: 30 minutes, closing at 2:30 PM
2:30 PM – Final Confirmation and Closing of Nominations
• Review of nominations and any final acceptances
2:40 PM – Announcements and Next Steps
• Information on election date, advance polling, and other key details
• Presented by the Electoral President
2:50 PM – Closing of Nomination Meeting
• Closing remarks
• Closing prayer
