Summary:
Amo Ososwan School is hiring multiple full-time Classroom Assistants / Educational Assistants to support students with Individual Education Plans (IEPs), assist in classroom learning, and contribute to a culturally inclusive school environment.
Key Duties:
Support IEP implementation
Provide one-on-one or small group support
Monitor student progress and assist with classroom management
Assist with field trips and school activities
Foster inclusion and support students with special needs or medical conditions
Requirements:
High school diploma (minimum)
Experience working with children
Must obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)
Assets:
Post-secondary education in a related field
Experience with special needs students
Team collaboration, cultural awareness, and communication skills
Willingness to attend Nipissing College’s Indigenous Classroom Assistant program
