On October 1, 2025, Long Point First Nation held a community gathering to celebrate the official launch of its expanded Sustainable Development Department. This major revitalization project will centralize forestry, mining, infrastructure, GIS, and machinery services, while strengthening LPFN’s capacity to manage its ancestral lands and support long-term community planning.
The expansion reflects LPFN’s commitment to environmental protection, economic growth, and Anicinabe values.
