Long Point First Nation is pleased to announce the implementation of 911 Emergency Services (E911) for all landline telephone users in Winneway. This vital safety upgrade will go into effect on December 10, 2025.
Here’s what you need to know:
Monthly charges:
911 Municipal Tax: $0.54 per number/month
E911 Access Fee: $0.17 per number/month
Total: $0.71/month (rising to $0.72 on January 1, 2026)
Status Card Holders:
Members who have provided proof of Indian Status to their phone provider are exempt from these charges. If you haven’t yet, please do so soon to avoid fees.
