Call for Grand Entry Participants – National Indigenous Peoples Day 2026

Long Point First Nation is seeking community members to participate in the Grand Entry and Opening Ceremony for our National Indigenous Peoples Day Celebration on June 19, 2026, at the LPFN Community Hall.

The Opening Ceremony will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will help start the day in a good way as we come together to celebrate our culture, traditions, and community.

We are currently seeking participants for the following ceremonial roles:

🚩 Flag Carriers (Honoraria Provided)

  • 1 Elder
  • 1 Youth
  • 1 Man
  • 1 Woman

💃 Five (5) Traditional Dancers (Honoraria Provided)

🥁 Drum Group (Honoraria Provided)

Community members interested in participating are encouraged to register as soon as possible, as ceremonial roles are limited.
