Community Cleaning Notice

Blog

Kwe Kakina,

The Public Works Department and Amik Eco Center would like to remind all residents to work together to help keep Long Point First Nation clean and beautiful during the community spring cleaning period.

Residents are kindly asked to sort garbage into categories such as:

  • Metal
  • Wood
  • Appliances
  • Electronics
  • Furniture
  • Oil

Please ensure that all waste is properly bagged before pickup.

Please note that the waste collection team will not enter members’ yards to collect garbage. All items must be placed along the sidewalks for collection.

The final opportunity for sidewalk waste pickup will be:

📅 Friday, May 22, 2026

After this date, residents will be responsible for bringing waste directly to the Eco Center during operating hours:
🕐 Weekdays and Sundays from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Your cooperation and assistance are greatly appreciated as we continue working together toward a cleaner community.

For more information or clarification, please contact Brandon Mathias or Kathleen Jerome at 819-722-2441.
