Community Notice – Police Intervention in Winneway (May 21, 2025)

Blog

On May 21, police officers and investigators from the Sûreté du Québec’s main station in the MRC of Témiscamingue, in collaboration with officers from the Temiskaming First Nation Police Service and assisted by the tactical intervention group, carried out a drug-related search at a residence on Ocki Street in the Winneway community.

The resident, a 37-year-old woman, was arrested and released. She is expected to return to court at a later date for further proceedings.

Thanks to information received from the public, the investigation was able to begin last April. The inquiry allowed investigators to successfully carry out this search and arrest. During the search, officers seized illicit items that could lead to charges against the suspect.

The Sûreté du Québec reminds the public that any information related to drug trafficking or production can be reported at any time, confidentially, to the Sûreté du Québec Criminal Information Center at 1-800-659-4264
