Long Point First Nation invites community members to join us for a special recognition celebrating Sylvie Bernier-Hunter and her remarkable achievement of reaching Uhuru Peak on Mount Kilimanjaro, at 5,895 metres above sea level.
Sylvie’s journey reflects perseverance, determination, and a commitment to pushing beyond personal limits.
”Although it was physically and mentally exhausting, I persevered.”
And the journey continues! Sylvie is now preparing for her next adventure: Mount Everest Base Camp in May 2027.
